"It's A Wonderful Afterlife" and "The Choir" start today.  We are just filling in time until next week when there is truely something for everyone.... "The Expendables" for the boys and some girls, "Tomorrow, When the War Began" for the teenagers and Chris (who has read all the books) and "Going the Distance" is finally arriving for the chick flick club!

I know I have said it before but this time I mean it!  LAST DAYS for Cemetery Junction, Killers, Step Up 3, Winter in Wartime and Toy Story.  Still adults at kids prices for any session of Toy Story or Karate Kid.   Inception will have reduced sessions too, so don't miss what has been one of the movie hits of 2010.

I am really excited about a new initiative

WEB-MATES WEDNESDAY (1 Sept)
Web-Mates Wednesday - $10.00 to all movies with the exception of "Salt".  Remember to quote "Web-Mates Wednesday" or just say hello to Chris who is still wandering around feeling sorry for himself.

ASCOT ANGLE
All the staff are waiting for the print check of "The Expendables" with its stellar cast of Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Mickey Rourke, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Bruce Willis- and it is all in Chris' hands!   More next week....

"The Choir" has been described as genuinely uplifting and exhilarating.  It reassures us of the human spirit and the healing power of singing and group arts.  We have had many requests for this movie - so you had better come see it - short season only!

WIN AT THE ASCOT
Some very inventive answers to last week's question, some publishable, some not!  The correct answer however was that the "Cats and Dogs" mobile was triggering the sensor and setting off the alarm.  One person got it right, however they probably should have been disqualified as they expressed sympathy towards Chris!

This week we are inundated with cute standees for a particular movie that is coming soon.... which movie is it? ... answers to lesley@theascot.co.nz.  And go in the draw to win some movie tickets.

Have a great weekend and don't forget to come in and pick up a gift pack - $135 for 15 anytime vouchers - no expiry - and we are fast running out.

Lesley and the Ascot Team.
